"This book took me by surprise in all the best possible ways. This is a fiction novel, but really seems more to me like an allegory—really beautiful themes of grace, forgiveness and love are written into every page. I was challenged and inspired to become more like Jesus! Highly recommend!" ~ Amazon customer
"Wow, I was ready for a sweet little novel...some, you know, "light reading"? I was blown away! This is not your Mama's drugstore love story!
The innocent little town of Holly, like most towns, is brimming with "real" people. The kind that feel real feelings, have real issues and who make real messes! The Author does not mince words the way most "Christian novelists" do. These are raw emotions and authentic reactions to those emotions! I think Traci Vanderbush has an inside track on the way Jesus thinks, feels and does things! Her imagination is so beautiful and her writing style is amazing. You won't want to put it down until you finish the book!" ~ Gloria
"I just finished reading The Porches of Holly, and absolutely loved it! There are elements of the book that are reminiscent of C.S. Lewis' Narnian imagery, together with the story-telling quality of The Mitford series by Jan Karon. Although I thoroughly enjoyed all the books in the Mitford series, I found Traci Vanderbush's book to be so much more compelling, with stories that tugged at a deep place in my heart, weaving life-lessons throughout that will come to mind the next time I'm tempted to judge someone without knowing their full story. The Porches of Holly is a beautifully written book that captures the essence of love, grace, and forgiveness in a remarkable story of redemption. I miss the characters already, and hope and pray for a sequel." ~ Amazon customer
"I am so amazed by this author and how she makes this town become alive. The heart felt role that each character plays and the effect of choices made. The wording and the descriptions set the mood in each chapter. I ordered extra as gifts for Christmas! " ~ Linnae

I cried a couple times and laughed out loud. Characters were so well developed, they just reeled you in and held you there till the end. Great read!" ~ Valerie
From the moment I picked up The Porches of Holly and began reading I couldn’t put it down. I was captivated! The author has a gift of bringing the characters to life and drawing you in. I already miss them and hated to see the book come to an end. The story is full of redemption, beauty and grace. I loved it. ~ Pamela C.

"I'm so glad I joined the book club! I had no idea it would be this rich with the word of God and the truths found in the story of The Porches of Holly. The book and study guide together gave me a safe place to dive into some painful situations of my past. It was uncomfortable going back to those places, but it was necessary for my healing. Being a part of this study touched places in my heart that I had walled off from people for many years. Exploring the characters' situations and bringing scriptures into them was incredibly life giving." ~ Anonymous
"I ordered the discussion guide for my personal use. I'm really enjoying it! The scriptures are opening up to me in ways I've never seen before." ~ A. V.
A HOLLY CHRISTMAS: THE DREAM DOOR
"I have read Traci’s Windows and Porches of Holly and have loved them enough to read them over even though it is rare for me to return to books.
As I began to read A Holly Christmas I was overjoyed to be back with my old friends of Holly. I didn’t realize how much I had become attached to them. It was like a reunion and yet I didn’t know the whole story of their lives and now I was getting to know them even more.
The book was full of intrigue which I thoroughly loved. It is a must-read for those who have read the previous books. BUT.. it would be a great way to get to know the people of Holly and Traci’s wonderful writing style. I am always learning from Traci’s stories.
This will be a fantastic book to read each Christmas.
Thank you Traci for blessing us with the world of Holly." ~ IR in Texas
I seriously loved the book A Holly Christmas: The Dream Door. There was so much love and care put into this story and the writing was equally well done. I would recommend this to anyone especially if you're looking for something to chase away those holiday blues. It reminded me of what home means and of the one I'd found in my friends and church over the last year. ~ Reina A.
"I highly recommend reading"The Porches of Holly" and "The Windows of Holly." I read the first book when it came out and I was so excited to hear that there was a sequel. I re-read The Porches before reading the Windows of Holly, as the characters are connected. The books are written in a way that keeps you wondering what will happen next. You will want to keep reading and not stop till the end! I also purchased and gave the books to my 33 year old daughter. She loved them as well. A top notch series written for young and old with the message of Grace and Love running through." ~ Encouraged
"I absolutely Love the sequel Windows of Holly! It takes you on a journey of lost and renewed love in a way only Jesus can heal broken marriages and trust." ~ Sonya
"I truly enjoyed The Windows of Holly. The story of forgiveness and redemptive love was really very special. It is as much about letting go of the pain and unforgiveness of ourselves as of others. Well done Traci!" ~ Candace
"The story grabbed me by the heart showing me God's love in a new way, how He forgives us and is drawing us back to Him even as we selfishly continue to disobey. The overwhelming theme so richly written by Traci Vanderbush is how we are to love and forgive unconditionally. In both of her Holly stories, she paints pictures with her inspired words that have deeply affected me." ~ JoAnn
"This book should be made into a movie! Read Traci Vanderbush's Porches of Holly first and then her sequel Windows of Holly and tell me if I’m wrong - her characters are believable and the redemption story is palatable." ~ Kim
"I had bought the first book, "The Porches of Holly" at a conference several years ago but it got set on a shelf and lost in the stack of books I intend to read. I was looking for something to read on a 3 hour flight when that book came to mind. After reading the first chapter I had a hard time putting it down. As a lifelong Christian that broke "the rules" more than once, and had them broken against me, these two books beautifully dealt with the shame, and gave a real description of the deep array of pain and emotions that resulted. The processing each time was powerfully depicted and how the Lord met each person involved where they were at was incredible! I earmarked sections to go back over to process in my own journey and to help others. I had to have "The Windows of Holly " to see where the author took the story! It didn't disappoint..." ~ Sarah J.
